“I became a doctor because I wanted a career where I could make a difference in peoples’ lives on both a personal and broader community level,” relates Dr. Ginsburg. Dovetailing off her extensive immunology research in Inflammatory Bowel Disease as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Ginsburg collaborated with the CDC and the American Gastroenterological Association to create a national program that provides pro bono colonoscopies to the under-insured and the uninsured. She brings years of experience to GMA, as well as the ability to foster trusting relationships with her patients built on open communication. “It is important for a physician to have empathy and compassion, and I hope I convey that to my patients,” Dr. Ginsburg says.
