Family medicine and physical therapy services bolstered at Roaring Fork Valley’s largest independent practice
Glenwood Springs, CO, Nov. 25, 2020— Glenwood Medical Associates announces today a growing roster of care providers with the addition of family medicine physician Dr. Emily Zerba, DO and physical therapist Cody De La Mater, PT, DPT. These additions bolster the services at the Roaring Fork Valley’s largest independent practice.
Dr. Zerba chose family medicine as she hopes to build personal connections with entire families, as well as the larger community of Glenwood Springs. Her experience as a ski instructor for disabled skiers heightened her interest in pursuing her DO (Doctor of Osteopathy). She enjoys treating the whole person—body, mind and spirit. “I like to foster open communication,” she explains about her doctor-patient relationships. “It’s about presenting multiple treatment options and letting patients make informed decisions about their own health.”
Having been a college athlete, Cody De La Mater is no stranger to injury and rehabilitation. This experience combined with his desire to help people, and promote health and wellness guided him to the field of physical therapy. Cody believes in establishing honest, open communication with his patients. He ranks “listening” as a top priority in his patient care, as this always leads to better clinical decisions. “Everyone is different and reacts differently to each treatment,” adds the PT.
Both providers are currently accepting new patients.
