The 13th Annual Mother’s Day Mile benefit race for Advocate Safehouse is now in the history books.
Several hundred people raced, ran and walked the 1 mile course again this year, with the weather again cooperating and making for a perfect temperature. Roses were given to all mothers in the event, and homemade pies were passed out to the participants. There were kids’ activities, a tempting silent auction, and the always-popular African jewelry booth.

Urgent Care at GMA
Glenwood Medical is open for Urgent Care Mon - Thurs until 8:00 pm. Sudden illnesses and injuries can happen late in the day, and Glenwood Medical Associates offers an affordable alternative to an expensive visit to the Emergency Room. Our clinic will treat Urgent Care injuries from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday, and from 8:00 a.m. until noon on Saturday. You can call to make an appointment or just walk in for Urgent Care. Save a bundle from the usual cost of the ER.
